AI assistants
Use Thicket with ChatGPT, Claude Code and your other AI assistants
Connect Thicket to ChatGPT, Claude Code or another assistant that supports MCP, then ask what's due this week or what a thread decided. It can add to-dos, move cards, post updates and log time, and it sees only what you can see in Thicket.
Included on every plan, Free included.
Free plan. No card required. Includes a 30-day Pro trial.
Things you can ask
- What's due this week in Website Redesign, and who has it?
- Summarize the comments on the launch plan message and list the open questions.
- Turn these meeting notes into to-dos on the Development list and assign them.
- Move every card that has sat in Review for two weeks back to In progress.
- Draft a Friday update for the Website Redesign message board from the to-dos we finished this week.
- Find the doc where we settled on the new pricing and quote the decision.
- Log an hour and a half on the homepage mockups to-do for yesterday.
- What's on the calendar across every project for the next two weeks?
Connect your assistant
Your assistant sends you to Thicket to sign in and approve access. The approval screen shows what it asked for: reading only, or reading and making changes.
ChatGPT
On chatgpt.com, open Settings > Security and login and turn on Developer mode. Then open Plugins, create an app, name it Thicket, paste in the address below and choose OAuth. ChatGPT sends you to Thicket to sign in and approve access. To use it, start a new chat, open Add files and more, and pick Thicket.
Custom connections in ChatGPT need Developer mode. On a workspace plan, your ChatGPT admin may need to allow it first.
Claude Code
In a terminal, add Thicket as a remote server. Then run /mcp in Claude Code, choose thicket and authenticate. Thicket opens in your browser for the same approval screen.
claude mcp add --transport http thicket https://www.thickethq.com/api/mcpAnother MCP assistant
Add a remote MCP server, connector or integration in your assistant and paste in the address below. It opens Thicket so you can sign in and approve access. This works with clients that support remote MCP over Streamable HTTP with OAuth 2.1.

Copy and paste this address if your assistant asks for it:

The everyday work in your projects, with your permissions. Coding agents reach the rest of Thicket through the CLI and API.
- Projects: find your projects, active or archived, and see the people in each organization.
- To-dos: make lists, add to-dos, assign them, set due dates, put them in priority order and check them off.
- Message Board and comments: read posts and their comments, post updates, edit them, reply and cheer.
- Boards: add cards, move them between columns, and change their assignees, due dates and notes.
- Calendar: see events and dated to-dos for any stretch of days, in one project or across all of them.
- Docs & Files: read and edit docs, and find any doc or file, in folders too.
- Chat: read a project's chat and post in it.
- Timesheets: read logged time, log hours on an item or a project, and correct an entry.
- Notifications: read your notifications, mark them read, and follow or stop following an item.
- Search and history: search everything you can see, and read an item's change log.
You stay in control
- Your access, nothing more. Your assistant sees only what you can see in Thicket and does only what you can do. When your access changes, its access changes with it.
- Approve what it asked for. The approval screen names the app, your account and your organizations, and lists what it will be able to do. An assistant that asks only to read never gets the tools that make changes.
- Its work is labeled. What it posts appears under your name with "via" and the app's name, such as "via ChatGPT", so your team can tell it apart from what you typed.
- Trash, never deletion. It can move an item to the Trash, where it can normally be restored for 30 days. It can't delete anything permanently.
- Disconnect anytime. My settings > Connected apps lists each assistant with its access and when it was last used. Disconnect it and its next request is refused. What it did while connected stays in the project's history.
Your Thicket data is covered by our Privacy Policy, Terms of Service and security overview. What your assistant does with what it reads is governed by that assistant's own policies.
For developers and other apps
This is Thicket's hosted MCP server, for compatible remote MCP clients. Point one at https://www.thickethq.com/api/mcp and sign in. There's nothing to set up in Thicket.
Claude Code:
claude mcp add --transport http thicket https://www.thickethq.com/api/mcpA client that takes a custom header instead of OAuth can send a personal access token from My settings > API tokens, with a User-Agent that names your app. A read-only token sees only the reading tools.
Authorization: Bearer $THICKET_TOKEN
User-Agent: YourApp (you@example.com)Working from a terminal, or building your own integration? See the Thicket CLI, agent skill and API.
Questions about AI assistants and Thicket
Does it cost extra?
No. The MCP connector is included on every plan: Free, Starter at $25/month and Pro at $49/month. Your AI assistant may need a paid plan of its own to add connectors.
Can my assistant see projects I'm not on?
No. Your assistant works as you. If you can't open a project, message or file in Thicket, neither can it. A client of your team who connects an assistant still sees only what the team shares with them.
Do you use my data to train AI models?
No. Vesperion Gate doesn't use private Thicket customer content to train general-purpose AI models. Your assistant receives what it reads from Thicket when you ask it something. Check that assistant's settings for how it handles your conversations.
I'm in more than one organization. Which one does it use?
Each of them, with your access in each. One connection covers every organization you belong to, so name the organization in your request when it matters.
How do I see what it did?
Everything it changes appears in the project's activity under your name, and what it posts carries "via" and the app's name. My settings > Connected apps shows when each assistant last used Thicket.
Something isn't working. Who can help?
Email support@thickethq.com or use the Support page. Tell us which assistant you're using and what you asked, and we reply by email.
Ask your assistant about a real project
Start a project, invite the team, and connect the assistant you already use. It works with the projects you can see, and you can disconnect it anytime.
