Staging an orchid show and plant sale

An orchid show opens on a set morning, and every plant in it has to be in bloom, groomed and entered by then. This project holds the exhibits on a board, photos of the hall and of each entry, the set-up chat and four to-do lists.

The 50th Orchid Show and Sale project in Thicket over a photograph of orchid sprays in a stone hall with tall arched windows: the health flag reading On track, the show dates and five people, then six cards: the Exhibits board with cards in Sketch, Plants pledged, Staging built and Planting, In the hall as nine photographs of the staging and the orchid tree going up, the Message Board with the orchid tree on top, Entry photos as nine photographs of single orchids on a gray backdrop, To-dos with three lists on the progress chart, and Chat with this morning's set-up lines.

The Congaree Orchid Society moves each of its 14 exhibits from sketch to ready for judging on Boards and keeps photos of the set-up and of every entry in two Docs & Files grids. Grower, entry and bloom news goes on the Message Board, four lists in To-dos cover set-up, judging, the plant sale and the volunteers, and Chat carries the set-up mornings in the hall.
