Picking and pressing a cider harvest
At harvest each variety ripens on its own schedule, and its fruit must be pressed while it is ready. This project holds each batch of fruit on a board from tree to tank, photos of the orchard and press days, the cellar notes and the crew's chat.
Ditch Road Perry moves each lot of pears from the tree to the bins to the tank on Boards. Photos of the pear block and the press days sit in two Docs & Files grids, and the press notes and gravity readings in a third. Restaurant orders and harvest news go on the , and both families plan each morning's picking in Chat.
