Getting a ski hill ready for opening day
A ski hill can open only when the lift has passed its inspection, the runs have enough snow and the lodge and staff are ready. This project holds the lift and lodge work, snowmaking, hill and lodge photos, the dates up to opening day and a weekly check-in.
Tenmile Hill, a ski hill owned by its members, posts lift and lodge news on the and tracks the chairlift, snowmaking, the lodge and its people as four lists in To-dos. The snowmaking crew talks in Chat before dawn, every broken thing moves from found to done on Boards, and photos of the hill and the lodge sit in two Docs & Files grids beside the manuals. The Calendar holds the rope splice, the state inspection and opening day, and Check-ins ask each crew lead every week what is left.
