Testing warehouse robots before buying more

A robot pilot has a few weeks to show whether picks per hour and accuracy beat the current method, while orders keep shipping. This project holds shift check-ins, the pilot plan on the progress chart, weekly results, robot stops on a board and floor photos.

The Zone C Robot Pilot project in Thicket over a photograph of long warehouse aisles at dawn: the health flag reading On track, the pilot's dates and seven people, then six cards: Check-ins with the latest answers to What stopped a robot on your shift, Pilot plan with four lists on the progress chart, the Message Board with the glove size plan on top, the Robot stops board with cards in Watching, With Pathwise, Fixing and Testing, Zone C as nine photographs of the robots and pickers at work, and Chat with this morning's lines from the floor.

Merriam Medical Supply asks each shift what stopped a robot in Check-ins and tracks the zone layout, order flow, picker training and the results for its owners as four lists in To-dos, each a dot on the progress chart. Weekly numbers go on the Message Board, each robot stop moves from triage to done on Boards, photos of Zone C sit in a Docs & Files grid, and the floor team trades updates in Chat.
