The short answer
Teamwork.com has a free plan covering up to 5 users and 5 projects, and two publicly priced paid plans: Basics at $9.99 per user per month and Accelerate at $24.99 per user per month, both billed annually. Two more tiers, Optimize and Enterprise, are quoted through sales with no published prices.
Here's the unusual part: those annual rates are the only prices Teamwork publishes. The pricing page shows no monthly-billing figure anywhere, just a “Save 29%” annual discount. Working backwards from that discount, monthly billing comes to roughly $13.99 per user on Basics and $34.99 on Accelerate. Every monthly figure in this post is derived that way, and we'll flag them as derived wherever they appear.
At common team sizes on Basics, 5 people pay $49.95/month billed annually (about $69.95 derived monthly), 10 people pay $99.90 (about $139.90), and 20 people pay $199.80 (about $279.80). At very small sizes, Teamwork costs less. Up to 5 people can use it free, and a 2–3 person team on Basics pays less than Thicket at $49/month flat for unlimited users. The tables below show where the totals cross, but first the full breakdown.
Teamwork.com's plans, side by side
Verified August 2026 from teamwork.com/pricing. Prices in USD. Annual-billing rates shown, because they're the only rates Teamwork publishes; the derived monthly rates follow below.
Teamwork also sells Optimize and Enterprise tiers, both custom-priced through sales (“Let's talk”) with no published figures, so no number is cited for either here. And if you've seen “Deliver” or “Grow” plans in older roundups: those tiers are retired, though stale third-party sites still echo them. Prices verified August 2026.
There is no monthly price on Teamwork's pricing page
ClickUp, Notion, and Trello show annual rates by default and provide a monthly-billing toggle. Teamwork publishes only the annual figure and discount. teamwork.com/pricing publishes only the annual-billing rates ($9.99 Basics, $24.99 Accelerate) next to a “Save 29%” banner. There is no toggle to flip and no monthly figure anywhere on the page.
Monthly billing does exist; the “Save 29%” framing is measured against it. So the monthly price can be worked out from Teamwork's own numbers: divide the annual rate by 0.71 and round to Teamwork's .99 price convention. That gives about $13.99 per user on Basics and about $34.99 on Accelerate billed monthly. Cross-checking: those rates put the annual discount at 29% on Basics and 29% on Accelerate, matching the banner. These monthly rates are derived figures, not published ones. The exact monthly price only appears at checkout.
For budgeting, that means the advertised price and the price a month-to-month team pays are roughly 29% apart. Because the pricing page publishes the annual rate but not the monthly one, use the derived monthly figure for a month-to-month budget.
When does free Teamwork stop being enough?
Teamwork's free plan allows up to 5 users and up to 5 projects. For a team that uses one project per client engagement, the sixth client requires a paid plan even while the team itself still fits.
At that point the path is Basics: $9.99 per user per month billed annually, or roughly $13.99 billed monthly (derived). For a 5-person agency that's $49.95/month paid annually up front, about $69.95/month if you stay month-to-month.
Teamwork.com totals at common team sizes
Per-user pricing looks small at one seat. Here's the monthly cost at four common team sizes: the published annual rate, the same year paid up front, and the derived monthly rate. Derived figures are marked with an asterisk.
| Team size | Basics (annual) / mo | Basics / yr up front | Basics monthly* |
|---|---|---|---|
| 5 users | $49.95/mo | $599.40/yr | $69.95/mo |
| 10 users | $99.90/mo | $1,198.80/yr | $139.90/mo |
| 20 users | $199.80/mo | $2,397.60/yr | $279.80/mo |
| 50 users | $499.50/mo | $5,994/yr | $699.50/mo |
* Derived monthly rate: Teamwork publishes no monthly prices, so the $13.99/user figure is computed from the published $9.99 annual rate and Teamwork's own “Save 29%” discount. On Accelerate the same table runs $124.95 to $1,249.50/month billed annually ($174.95 to $1,749.50 derived monthly). Optimize and Enterprise have no published prices and are excluded. Prices verified August 2026.
Is Teamwork.com worth it?
For very small teams, yes: the price alone makes the case. Teamwork's free plan covers 5 users, and a 2–3 person team on Basics pays $27.98 to $41.97/month at the derived monthly rate, under Thicket's $49 flat. If you're a team of 2 or 3 and Basics covers what you need, you should probably just pay Teamwork. Teamwork also includes billing, time tracking, and client views for agencies and professional-services teams.
The math changes in two places. The first is headcount: at 4 users Basics passes a $49 flat rate on both billing cycles ($55.96 derived monthly, or $39.96 billed annually against Thicket's $39 annual rate), and at 10 it's $139.90 derived monthly. The second is feature tier: billing depth, workload management, and retainer features are included with Accelerate at $24.99/user billed annually (about $34.99 derived monthly), which costs more than $49 flat from just 2 users ($69.98/month derived). The per-user rate and a growing agency's team total are different numbers.

Teamwork.com vs Thicket: what you pay
Thicket holds at $49/month at every team size. Here's the side-by-side against both Teamwork paid plans at their derived monthly rates, including the sizes where Teamwork is cheaper.
| Team size | Thicket Pro | Basics monthly* | Accelerate monthly* | You save vs Accelerate |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 5 users | $49/mo | $69.95/mo | $174.95/mo | $125.95/mo |
| 10 users | $49/mo | $139.90/mo | $349.90/mo | $300.90/mo |
| 20 users | $49/mo | $279.80/mo | $699.80/mo | $650.80/mo |
| 50 users | $49/mo | $699.50/mo | $1,749.50/mo | $1,700.50/mo |
Thicket Pro is $49/month flat ($39/month billed annually). * Teamwork monthly rates are derived from the published annual rates ($9.99 Basics, $24.99 Accelerate) and Teamwork's “Save 29%” annual discount; Teamwork publishes no monthly prices. Prices verified August 2026.
The crossover math cuts against us at the low end: Teamwork Basics stays under a $49 flat rate through 3 people ($41.97/month derived), and the free plan covers up to 5 users on 5 projects, so a very small team saves nothing by switching on price. The flat rate wins from roughly 4 people on Basics ($55.96 derived monthly vs $49, and $39.96 vs $39 comparing annual rates) and from 2 people on Accelerate ($69.98 vs $49). At 10 people on Basics the gap is $90.90/month; at 20 it's $230.80. More on the model: why we don't charge per user and flat-rate and per-user pricing compared. To see how the numbers stack up against every major tool, there's the full pricing comparison hub and Thicket's pricing in full, and if you want every vendor's verified rates in one dated table, the Project Management Pricing Index carries them all.
