Switching Between Organizations

Use one login for every Thicket organization you belong to, switch between them from the sidebar or the jump menu, and start a new one.

You can belong to more than one Thicket organization with the same login: your own company's account, a client's account you were invited to, or a second organization you created. Each one has its own projects, people, billing and notifications, and you can move between them without signing out.

When You Sign In

If you belong to one organization, signing in takes you straight into it. If you belong to more, you land on Your organizations, which lists each one with your role there. Click one to open it.

Switching From the Sidebar

  1. Click the account's name at the top of the sidebar.
  2. Under Organizations, click the one you want.

The Organizations list appears only when you belong to more than one.

Switching From the Jump Menu

Press ⌘J (Ctrl+J on Windows), or click Search in the sidebar. Before you type anything, the menu lists your other organizations under Organizations. Choose one to switch.

What Follows You, and What Doesn't

Some things belong to you and follow you into every organization:

  • Your name, photo, email address and password
  • Your preferences, such as your time zone, appearance and notification settings

Everything else belongs to each organization: its projects and people, your role and title there, your assignments, and your notifications. Each organization also has its own web address, so you can keep two open in separate browser tabs.

Starting Another Organization

  1. Click the account's name at the top of the sidebar and choose New organization.
  2. Enter a name under Organization name and continue.

You're the new organization's owner. One created on the web starts with a 30-day free Pro trial, and every organization has its own plan and billing. See Billing and Plans.

Leaving an Organization

To leave an organization you no longer need, see Leaving a Project or an Account.
