Managing Your Team

Thicket makes it easy to manage your team with role-based permissions and a people directory.

Inviting Members

  1. Go to People
  2. Click Invite
  3. Enter their email address
  4. Choose a role:
    • Owner — full access including billing, account settings, and Adminland
    • Admin — manage people and most organization settings
    • Member — create and edit content in their projects
    • Client — external collaborators who see only what you explicitly share
  5. Send the invitation

Invited users receive an email with a link to join your organization. Free supports up to 5 team members and 3 guests, and Pro removes those limits without switching to seat-based billing.

Roles and Permissions

| Permission | Owner | Admin | Member | Client | |-----------|-------|-------|--------|--------| | Manage billing & account | Yes | No | No | No | | Manage people & invites | Yes | Yes | No | No | | Manage organization settings | Yes | Yes | No | No | | Create projects | Yes | Yes | Yes | No | | See the full list of projects | Yes | No | No | No | | Create and edit content | Yes | Yes | Yes | Limited |

A few things worth knowing about how project access works:

  • Project access is explicit. A project is either open to everyone in the organization or limited to the people added to it. Admins do not get automatic access to every project — they see the projects they're part of, like everyone else.
  • Owners can list all projects in the account and add themselves to any project.
  • Clients see only what you share. A client must be added to a project, and within it they see only the items explicitly marked as visible to clients. Clients can also be asked to approve work and exchange correspondence in their projects.

People Directory

The People section shows your full team directory:

  • View all organization members
  • See their role and contact details
  • Quick access to member profiles
  • Group people into companies and groups

Use the People directory to search members, review roles, and jump into individual member profiles when you need more detail.
