Time Tracking and Timesheets
Log time, use the weekly grid, quick entry, run reports, and export CSV.
What Are Timesheets?
Timesheets let your team log time spent on projects and tasks. Managers can review, approve, and export timesheet data for payroll and billing.
Logging Time
There are several ways to log time:
Quick Entry
- Go to Timesheets in the sidebar
- Use the Quick Entry form to log time:
- Select the project
- Choose a task or activity
- Enter hours
- Add optional notes
- Click Log Time
Weekly Grid
The weekly grid gives you a spreadsheet-like view for logging time across the week:
- Each row is a project/task combination
- Each column is a day of the week
- Click any cell to enter hours
- Totals are calculated automatically
Timer
- Click the timer icon to start tracking time in real-time
- Select the project and task you're working on
- Click stop when you're done — hours are calculated automatically
Reports
View timesheet reports to analyze time data:
- By project — how much time was spent on each project
- By person — how much time each team member logged
- By date range — filter by specific time periods
- Hierarchical view — drill down from project to task level
CSV Export
Export timesheet data for payroll or invoicing:
- Go to Timesheets > Reports
- Set your filters (date range, project, person)
- Click Export CSV
- The file downloads with all timesheet entries
Manager Approval
Managers can review and approve submitted timesheets:
- Navigate to the approvals view
- Review pending timesheet submissions
- Approve or request corrections
- Approved timesheets are locked from further editing
