Using Boards

Kanban-style boards for visual workflow tracking.

What Are Boards?

Boards are Thicket's kanban tool: work is represented as cards that move through columns. They're perfect for reactive workflows like support triage, bug intake, or any process where work arrives, gets worked on, and gets done.

Turning On Boards

Boards are a tool within projects:

  1. Open a project with Boards enabled
  2. Click on the Boards tab
  3. Your table starts with Triage, Not Now, and Done columns, and you can add columns for the stages in between

Working with Columns

  • Add a column — create a column for each stage of your workflow
  • Rename a column — edit the column's title
  • Reorder columns — arrange columns to match how work flows
  • Collapse a column — tuck away columns you don't need right now; the collapsed state is saved just for you

Creating Cards

  1. Add a card to any column
  2. Give it a title
  3. Optionally add a description, assignees, and a due date

Moving Cards

  • Drag and drop — move cards between columns
  • On Hold — park a card without losing its place; it stays in its column, clearly marked as paused, until you take it off hold

Card Details

Click on any card to see its full details:

  • Title and description — rich text content
  • Steps — small checkable sub-tasks within the card
  • Assignees — who's responsible
  • Due date — when it's due
  • Comments — discuss the card with your team
