Working with Projects
Create projects, configure tools, and manage project members.
What Are Projects?
Projects in Thicket are containers for your work. Each project can have its own set of tools enabled — message board, to-dos, docs & files, calendar, Boards, and chat.
Creating a Project
- Click New Project from your home screen
- Fill in the project details:
- Name — a clear, descriptive name
- Description — what this project is about
- Tools — choose which tools to enable
- Click Create Project
You can also start a project from a template, or move and copy items between projects later.
Configuring Project Tools
Each project can have different tools enabled. Go to the project settings to toggle:
- Message Board — team discussions and announcements
- To-Dos — task management with assignments and due dates
- Docs & Files — shared docs, uploads, and folders
- Calendar — events and schedules
- Boards — a kanban-style workflow board
- Chat — the project's group chat room
Managing Project Access
A project is either open to everyone in your organization or limited to the people you add. To manage who's on a project:
- Open the project
- Go to the project's people settings
- Add or remove people as needed
Nobody gets implicit access to an invite-only project — not even admins. Account owners can see the full list of projects and add themselves to any of them. Clients see only the items explicitly shared with them in projects they were added to.
Archiving and Deleting Projects
- Archive — hides the project from your home screen but preserves all data
- Delete — moves the project to the trash
Archived projects can be restored at any time. Trashed items are recoverable for 30 days before they're permanently removed.
